Salford Art Club Annual Christmas Dinner Jan 21st 2016
At first it seemed odd having a Christmas party near the end of January but it was nice to have the hectic rush out of the way and to attend a laid back celebration. It was my first one and I felt immediately at home with friendly faces greeting us upon arrival. After a short while we sat down to a very good meal and interesting conversation. Whoever did the table seating had done an excellent job. During the meal there was a quite difficult quiz, but with our combined brain power, we did quite well winning a box of chocolates for the table. After a short informative speech there was a raffle with lots of prizes to be won. An enjoyable night was had by all and I look forward to next years

Just wandering around Eccles and came across an exhibition of paintings at the Eccles Community art gallery by members of the club. Also work on show by a couple of past members. Well worth a look if you are passing. Opening Times: Saturday: 10am - 4pm Tuesday: 11am - 2pm Friday: 11am - 2pm We can also open the gallery by appointment, contact us for details. A good place to exhibit your work. Sent in by a member. We are a charity collecting business waste to be reused by our members as a creative resource for children’s creative play, plus an art shop open to public http://www.childrensscrapstore.co.uk An excellent afternoon which was enjoyed by the members. A thank you to Carol for organizing the day and the sunshine.
Lots of interesting machinery to draw and paint and a fascinating place. Members produced a range of work and had an enjoyable time. |
